Ok, it's not pictures of Ian, but, we was present when this happened.

So far, both Lisa and Ian are doing fine - no human injuries from the accident.

Lisa was merging (to the left) from an on-ramp onto a main highway in downtown Knoxville.

The young guy in the cargo van behind her decided that she wasn't moving fast enough, so he thought he'd accelerate, merge and pass her all at the same time - even though the merge ramp is only about 20 yards long...

Besides being illegal, it was also a rather stupid thing to do for this very reason: while you're looking to merge, the car in front of you may be stopping.

He crunched the left rear of the chevelle with the right front of the company van he was driving.

Probably the worst thing of all, he never even asked if she was ok!

Imagine rear-ending someone, then as an 8-month-pregnant woman steps out of the car, not even having the decency to pretend to be concerned for her health.

Ugh.

I had hoped to show the shifting of the gas tank and the accordianning of the left side of the frame. but the glare from the sun blocks it out.

I am afraid that the Insurance company will total the car, even though it is still driveable.

Any body know anyone looking for a good '71 chevelle for parts? :-(
